In Shchelkovo, Moscow region, three people were injured after a man attacked the staff and visitors of the store. This was reported on January 13 in the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"Immediately arriving police officers established that a man in a state of intoxication entered the commercial premises, who gratuitously stabbed the staff and visitors. As a result of the incident, three people with cut wounds went to a medical facility," reads the message posted in the Telegram-channel of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was specified that the incident occurred in one of the stores in Shchelkovo, located on Krasnoznamenskaya Street. The offender was detained, he turned out to be a resident of the Volgograd region born in 2004.

At present, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier, on October 25 last year, a man with a knife attacked people in a St. Petersburg supermarket, he was detained and arrested. A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons").

Five people were injured. It was reported that the attacker was in an acute psychosis.
