FAS fined Alfa-Bank for improper advertising campaign with Yandex Fooda
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has fined Alfa Bank for improper advertising of a joint campaign with the service "Yandex Food". This was reported in the press service of the antimonopoly body on January 13.
It is noted that consumers received incomplete information about the essential conditions that affect the cost of delivery services.
"Joint advertising was distributed on the air of federal TV channels. The video contained attractive information for consumers about the accrual of 50% cashback when paying for an order in the service "Yandex" any bank card", - explained in the FAS.
The information that the maximum cashback is 500 rubles was placed in the explanatory footnote in small print for a short period of time, which made it difficult to perceive. As a result, consumers received insufficient information about the important conditions of the promotion affecting the price of delivery.
Earlier, the service recognized the advertising of Alfa Bank and Yandex Foods as inappropriate and issued the companies with instructions to stop violating the federal law "On Advertising".
Last year, on November 12, FAS recognized Sberbank violated the law on advertising. It was reported that the credit organization did not specify some of the essential information about the terms of a car loan.
