Weather forecaster told about the weather on Epiphany
Leading expert of the weather center "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets told what weather is expected in Moscow on Epiphany.
In his Telegram-channel on January 12, the expert noted that in the capital on Epiphany is expected a symbolic cooling to -5 degrees at night, during the day the air temperature will be 0 degrees.
On Monday, January 13, in the city is predicted weak snow, possible icing. The coldest day of the week is expected to be Tuesday: frost to -7 degrees Celsius is expected, notes 360.ru. Snowfalls are predicted in the second half of the week. On Friday, the thaw will intensify, it will be windy, the thermometer columns during the day will show +1...+4 degrees, writes RIAMO. Precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain.
The forecaster emphasized that in January there will be no serious frosts and snowfalls, writes IA Regnum. No more than 5-10 mm of precipitation will fall during the week, and due to the persisting high temperature background, the snow cover will not change much and will not exceed 2-5 cm, reports the Moscow city news agency.
On January 13, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand predicted a little snow in Moscow on January 13 and 14. On the first two days of this week, the temperature will be 2.5-3 degrees above the norm, RT writes.
On January 10, Tishkovets reported that "real winter" is not expected in Moscow. Thus, in the capital, the beginning of January was warmer than normal by almost five degrees, the city recorded a "meteorological" spring, and in the second half of the winter season classic weather for this time of year is not expected, notes NSN.
On the same day, a leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatiana Pozdnyakova told "Izvestia" that the second half of winter in Moscow will be warm. At the same time, according to her, the lowest temperature in the current month will be observed in the last five days.
