14 cases of norovirus infection were recorded in Orenburg school

14 cases of norovirus infection were registered at school No. 69 in Orenburg. This was reported by the Minister of Health of the region Tatyana Savinova on January 13.

It is specified that the cases were identified on the night of January 12. On the same day, the educational institution was disinfected, including the use of antiviral agents.

According to Savinova, all the sick have undergone medical examination. It was also found that not all children consumed food in the school canteen.

"Today, January 13, all children will be examined by a team of medical workers. If new cases of the disease are detected, they will be suspended from the educational process," - the words of the Minister of health on the website of the Ministry of health of the Orenburg region.

Earlier, on November 20, 2024, a criminal case was opened in Krasnoyarsk on the fact of poisoning of at least 23 students of one of the schools of the city. According to investigators, 23 students from 1st to 11th grades applied to hospitals with signs of intestinal infection on November 19. The preliminary diagnosis made by doctors is rotavirus infection. It was found that the day before the children had eaten in the school canteen.
