Nicole Kidman told "Izvestia" about the new movie with her participation
At the Venice Film Festival, American actress Nicole Kidman won the award for Best Actress for her role in the movie "Bad Girl". She was recently nominated for the same role for the Golden Globe, and this week the film is officially released in Russia. "Izvestia" talked to the actress about working on the movie.
"Bad Girl" - a story about a businesswoman who met a young man (Harris Dickinson), the relationship with which outweighed and career, and marriage to an ideal man (Antonio Banderas). Such risky and revealing roles the 57-year-old Kidman hasn't had in a long time.
According to the actress, her heroine is in a state of internal crisis, but that is her inner strength.
"She seems to have everything you can dream of: a wonderful husband, a great career, but at the same time internally she is still wondering what she really wants. The heroine's strength is that she can do anything, really - anything! But in doing so, can she be honest with herself?" - Kidman commented.
Director and screenwriter of the movie Halina Rain, according to Kidman, well understands the psychology of each character, the reasons for their actions. However, on the set, as in the theater, the actors had the opportunity to create something new, and spontaneity had the right to exist.
"I don't know if this is an important movie, but it feels real, human to me. That's personally my feeling. And I really wanted to be a part of a piece like that, not to play something I've played a million times before. And I really haven't seen such movies before," the actress noted.
