There are no prerequisites for raising the income threshold for the self-employed. This was reported in an interview with "Izvestia" by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova.

She recalled that the income threshold for the self-employed is Br2.4 million, if divided by 12 months, it's Br200 thousand per month. Taking into account weekends and holidays, this amount is higher than the average Russian salary - according to the data for September, it amounted to Br84.3 thousand.

"Before introducing restrictions, it is necessary to determine the purpose. If we want a part of the self-employed to move into labor relations, we need to understand what part and in what sectors. It is necessary to look where the greatest staffing needs are," - emphasized Ilyushnikova.

Now the state sees no need to introduce strict bans, as they are usually perceived negatively and they only want to violate them even more, added the deputy minister. As noted by the representative of the Ministry of Economic Development, now the self-employed may not specify the scope of their activities at all.
