From 2025, preferential lending to small and medium-sized enterprises under the preferential program "1764" will be reduced to 100 billion rubles annually. This was announced in an interview with "Izvestia" by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova.

She explained that the financing of the program "1764" is divided into two parts.

"First, we will continue to service our obligations under the loans issued until 2025 - their total amount is about 800 billion rubles. Perhaps there will be some adjustments, but favorable conditions will be preserved," Ilyushnikova noted.

The second part assumes annual volumes of new loans in the amount of 100 billion rubles. Under the six-year national project to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which was in effect until the end of 2024, there were about 500 billion annually, recalled the representative of the department.

"Preferential loans will be issued less, but they will become more targeted - we will concentrate support where it is really necessary for the formation of new markets, industries, the introduction of elements of robotization, the development of high-tech companies, creative economy," - stressed the deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development.

Thanks to this, the state will focus mainly on those industries in which it wants SMEs to grow at a faster pace, or which are just emerging, the deputy minister explained.

"We with our programs go either where banks do not want to go, or where new points of growth are really forming. Therefore, the most popular program of preferential lending "1764" will be preserved," she concluded.
