Actor Mikhail Yefremov, who is serving a sentence in the colony for a fatal traffic accident, may ask to attend the funeral of his former wife, actress Yevgeniya Dobrovolskaya. This was announced on January 12 by human rights activist, vice president of the Russian division of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights Ivan Melnikov.

According to him, despite the fact that the colony may give short-term leave, including for attending such events, Efremov is unlikely to be released for the funeral, in order to avoid another scandal for the FSIN.

"Efremov has proven himself quite well in the correctional facility. He has the opportunity to apply to attend the funeral. Another question is whether they will let him go. Dobrovolskaya was Efremov's wife, but they separated a long time ago. This may be picked on," - said Melnikov in conversation with the site aif.ru.
