- In Kuban, the deputy education minister berated volunteers of the center for cleaning birds from fuel oil
On January 12, Deputy Minister of Education of Krasnodar Region Sergey Uraikin swore at volunteers of the center for cleaning birds from fuel oil because of their complaints about the closure of the bird rehabilitation center. The video was published in the Telegram-channel "Ecologist Zhora Kavanosyan".
An unfamiliar man came to the volunteers at the center and demanded that they pack up and leave the premises within an hour. Having learned about it, the official with a violation of the speed limit of the roads came to find out if everything was in order. It turned out that the center was not closing, but moving to another location.
According to Uraikin, he was embarrassed for the whole country and almost brought to a heart attack. He accused the volunteers of speculating on information and creating panic in the country - in a fit of emotion he used foul language. At the same time, the volunteers themselves declared their non-involvement in the creation and publication of the video.
Earlier, on January 10, more than 270 birds affected by the oil spill in the Kerch Strait were rescued in Big Yalta. Birds are accepted in the zoo "Fairy Tale" and on Krasnye Partizan Street 26. The work in the reception points is brought to automaticity. Volunteers assign each bird a number, indicate the place of capture and describe its condition. After the bird is cleaned, its beak is cleaned and its eyes are washed.
