Pulkovo Airport resumed operations
Pulkovo airport has resumed operations in St. Petersburg. This is stated in the message of the air harbor in Telegram on January 12.
It is noted that more than 100 units of equipment are involved in snow removal at the airport. Also, more than 700 employees provide stable work of the airport on the platform and in the terminal.
In the morning of January 12, flight restrictions were already imposed in Pulkovo. They were in effect until 13:30. Due to bad weather in the airport area, 33 airplanes left for alternate airfields.
Later in St. Petersburg again suspended the reception and release of aircraft due to worsening weather conditions. Rosaviatsia official spokesman Artem Korenyako said that heavy rainfall in the form of snow continued in the Pulkovo area.
