HC "Avangard" defeated "Salavat" 3:2 in the KHL match with a willful effort

The Omsk hockey club Avangard won its fourth consecutive victory in the regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), defeating Salavat Yulaev Ufa on its home ice. The meeting on January 12 ended with a score of 3:2.

The Ufa team took an immediate lead early in the game thanks to goals by Sheldon Rempal (4th minute) and Artem Nabiev (6th minute). The opposing team scored one point in the 25th minute on an effort by Reid Bouchet. And in the 47th minute they evened the score thanks to a goal by Nail Yakupov.

Just a minute and a half before the final siren, Avangard's third puck was sent into the opponents' goal by team captain Damir Sharipzyanov (59), according to the Sport-Express table.

At the end of the meeting Salavat Yulaev lost three of the last four games and took second place in the Eastern Conference. "Avangard" is located on the sixth line.

Before that, on January 5, the Arkhangelsk team Vodnik won the Super Cup of Russia for the first time, beating Kemerovo Kuzbass 6-1. The meeting took place in Arkhangelsk. About 8 thousand people attended the match at the Trud stadium.
