In Kemerovo, a man beat up a pregnant store employee because of jealousy. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region on Sunday, January 12.

The incident was reported to law enforcement agencies by an employee of the store.

It is established that the 19-year-old female employee of the store and the 22-year-old man who beat her, live together and after the incident went home by bus.

The young man was taken into custody. He stated to the police that the reason for the conflict was jealousy.

The victim was taken to the hospital with bruises to the head.

"At present, the question is being decided on the initiation of criminal proceedings against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Threat of murder or infliction of serious harm to health." According to the sanctions of this article, the maximum penalty is two years' imprisonment," the department said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

Earlier, on December 31, 2024, in the town of Skovorodino, Amur region, a jealous husband beat up a gynecologist after examining his wife. It was specified that the man came to the polyclinic, after his wife was examined by a gynecologist, and twice hit the doctor in the face with his fist.
