Pulkovo Airport has lifted restrictions on aircraft reception and release
St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport is open for receiving and releasing aircrafts. This was reported by Rosaviatsia official representative Artem Korenyako on January 12.
"The air harbor of St. Petersburg starts servicing flights," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Rosaviatsia representative specified that the airfield services reported the normal condition of the runway grip coefficient.
In the morning of January 12, Pulkovo reported the suspension of aircraft reception and departure due to difficult weather conditions and the need to clear the runway of snow.
Later, access to the departure area of domestic flights was restricted to ensure comfortable accommodation for passengers for the waiting period. Those at the airport were asked to use other lounges. Passengers were provided with water.
Korenyako also reported that due to bad weather in the airport area 33 airplanes left for alternate airfields.
