A woman was killed in a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Karachevsky district of the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on Sunday, January 12.

"Another local resident is wounded, she has already been taken to the hospital, where she is promptly provided with qualified medical care. I wish her a speedy recovery," he added in his Telegram channel.

The woman's family will be provided with financial assistance.

According to preliminary data, several houses have been damaged.

Operational services are working at the site. The survey of the territory continues.

On the eve Bogomaz reported that three residents of the village of Novye Yurkovichi in Klimovsky district were wounded as a result of shelling by the AFU. He noted that the strike on the settlement was carried out using a multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS).

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
