Footage from the scene of a fatal accident with a bus in the DNR published
A bus that overturned on a highway in the Donetsk People's Republic in the early morning has broken windows and damaged the roof. Video from the scene of the accident on Sunday, January 12, published "Izvestia".
The footage shows the bus lying on its side at some distance from the road. A police officer and several other specialists are working near it.
The accident occurred on a steep bend at the entrance to Ilovaisk, Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky pointed out. According to him, the investigation is currently considering such causes of the accident as driver inattention or malfunction of the vehicle's braking system.
The head of the DNR Denis Pushilin specified that the number of people injured when the bus overturned has risen to 29, including three children.
"Three people were hospitalized, the rest were provided with outpatient medical care. The condition of the injured is of medium and light severity," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
He expressed condolences to the families and friends of the three victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. The circumstances of the accident are currently being investigated by specialized agencies.
Earlier in the day, a bus with passengers went off the road and overturned near Ilovaisk. It was traveling on the route Krasnodar - Donetsk on the highway Donetsk - Khartsyzsk - Amvrosiyivka.
Initially it was reported about three dead and 27 injured. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, there were 37 passengers on the bus. The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the DNR opened a criminal case, within the framework of which expert examinations have been appointed.
