Pulkovo has restricted passenger access to the departure zone of domestic flights

St. Petersburg airport Pulkovo has restricted the access of passengers to the departure zone of domestic flights in connection with the temporary ban on sending and receiving airplanes due to difficult weather conditions. This was reported on Sunday, January 12, in the press service of the air harbor.

These actions are necessary to ensure comfortable accommodation of passengers for the period of waiting for flights.

"We ask passengers departing on domestic flights to use the waiting room on the second floor of the public area of the terminal", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

It is specified that passengers waiting for flights are provided with refreshments at the airport. Water can be obtained at the boarding gates (sixth and 11th) in the zones of domestic flights and boarding gates of international airlines.

Anastasia Gorelova, a passenger on the Novosibirsk-St. Petersburg flight, said that the plane she was flying on failed to land at Pulkovo due to heavy snowfall.

"We were in the air for about 30-40 minutes, and soon we had to go to Moscow for refueling because Pulkovo was closed," she told Izvestia.

The suspension of aircraft reception and dispatch due to difficult weather conditions at Pulkovo became known earlier in the day. It was specified that the runway was being cleared of snow.
