An inspection has been organized on the fact of a fire at the Starooskolsk Zoo in Belgorod, in which six zebras died. This was reported on January 11 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Belgorod region.

"Within the framework of the inspection will be assessed compliance MAUK "Starooskolsk Zoo" with the requirements of legislation on fire safety and wildlife protection", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the agency.

The inspection will be conducted by the Starooskolsk city prosecutor's office. In case of detection of violations will be taken all measures of response. Control the check will be the prosecutor's office of the region. A source in law enforcement agencies specified that the preliminary cause of the emergency may be a malfunction of electrical equipment, adds "RIA Novosti".

Earlier on January 11 in the Belgorod region there was a fire on the territory of the zoo in the farm Chumaki, during which six zebras died. The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the fire engulfed a frame tent room on the territory of the zoo. The fire was localized at 60 square meters. m. Fourteen specialists and three units of equipment were involved in the work.
