Ulyanovsk airport lifted temporary restrictions on flights

Restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Ulyanovsk airport have been lifted. This was reported on Saturday, January 11, by the spokesman of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) Artem Korenyako.

"At the airport of Ulyanovsk (Barataevka) at 17:40 Moscow time restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft (VS) have been lifted," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

It is specified that during the period of restrictions, one airplane landed on an alternate airfield.

Korenyako recalled that the restrictions were introduced earlier in the day to ensure safety.

Before that, on January 11, temporary restrictions were also introduced at the airports of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Ulyanovsk. During the restrictions, two airplanes flying to Kazan landed at an alternate airfield in Ufa. Later it was reported that the temporary flight restrictions at the airports of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Ulyanovsk were canceled.
