A car with two men fell through the ice in Buryatia

In Buryatia, a car fell through the ice in the delta of the Selenga River, the depth at the site was 70 cm. This was reported on January 11 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

It is noted that the incident occurred in the locality of Kokui.

"Rescuers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry brought two men to the shore. In medical assistance they do not need," - indicated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

Rescuers warned that traveling by car on the ice of Lake Baikal and its tributaries is very dangerous. It is allowed to cross it only on specially organized for this purpose ice crossings with all safety measures.

Before that, on January 6, six snowmobiles with 11 people fell through the ice in Karelia. The victims got to the surface on their own. Rescuers brought people to the shore. They were given medical aid. The next day a criminal case was initiated over the incident under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services dangerous to human life or health").
