The number of people injured in a UAV attack on houses in the Tambov region has risen to seven

Seven people were injured in a night attack by Ukrainian drones on two apartment buildings in the town of Kotovsk in the Tambov region, the region's acting head Yevgeny Pervyshov said on Saturday, January 11.

"According to clarified information, there are seven victims - three have cuts from shards of broken windows, another four complained of high blood pressure. All were given the necessary help, hospitalization was not required," he wrote in Telegram-channel after the meeting of the operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

It is specified that two five-story houses were damaged as a result of the strike. There windows were broken and balconies were damaged. Evacuation was not carried out.

According to Pervyshov's assessment, all services promptly worked out and control the situation. Created at night the operative staff coordinates the liquidation of the consequences of the arrival.

All damages in houses will soon be eliminated by a working group in the city administration with the support of the regional budget, said the regional mayor. On the instructions of Pervyshov, an apartment round will be additionally conducted to find out if anyone else needs help.

Pervyshov reported about the drone attack on apartment buildings in Kotovsk on Saturday night. No fires were recorded. Then it became known about three victims.

According to the Defense Ministry, 85 drones were destroyed over the territory of Russia during the night. Over the territory of the Tambov region, two of them were intercepted.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
