In St. Petersburg, a man jumped from the third floor to escape an acquaintance who attacked him with a knife. He died of multiple injuries. This was reported on December 11 by the source of "Izvestia".
"The police managed to detain the suspect. Earlier he had already been tried for causing serious harm to health," he said, adding that a criminal case under the same article has been opened against the attacker.
According to him, the incident occurred in the evening of January 9. A conflict broke out between two men in the apartment of one of them, during which the attacker attacked his acquaintance with a knife and inflicted several blows.
Both participants of the conflict were in a state of alcoholic intoxication, the interlocutor noted.
According to the source, the victim jumped from the balcony, after which he was taken to the hospital. The man died of his injuries the same night.
The day before it was reported that a resident of Yaroslavl fell from the 19th floor in the Frunzensky district of the city on January 9 and survived the fall. After the fall, the man was hospitalized in serious condition. According to preliminary data, the victim survived thanks to the fact that he caught hold of a power line.
