Governor Gusev reported on destroyed UAVs over Voronezh region

Air defense (air defense) and electronic warfare (REB) means have eliminated several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the skies above the Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev reported on January 11.

"On-duty air defense forces and REB means in Voronezh and in two districts of the region detected and destroyed several UAVs," the region's head wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties and destruction. The region remains in danger mode of drone attack, Gusev added.

Shortly before that, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that between 20:00 and 22:00 Moscow time seven Ukrainian drones were eliminated over Russian regions, including the Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as over the waters of the Black Sea.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
