A teenager who broke into a school in Kursk has been charged with attempted terrorist attack

A criminal case on the fact of attempted terrorist act has been opened against a teenager who broke into school No. 54 in Kursk with a hammer. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kursk region in Telegram-channel on Friday, January 10.

"Investigators of the first department for the investigation of especially important cases of the investigative Department of the Investigative Directorate of the IC of Russia in the Kursk region was initiated a criminal case against a 16-year-old resident of Kursk on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30, part. 1 article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempt to commit a terrorist act")," the publication says.

It is specified that the teenager is detained. The investigator in the case will demand in court the election of a measure of restraint in the form of detention.

Earlier in the day, a teenager in a hat, balaclava and with a hammer in his hands broke into school № 54 in Kursk. It was specified that in the bag the young man also had two knives and lighter fluid. The young man broke a window and a glass door. The guard immediately activated the alarm system, and four minutes later the Rosgvardiya officers arrived on the scene, but the teenager managed to escape.

Soon the intruder was detained on the territory of the dacha community SNT "Michurinets". A criminal case has been opened over the incident. There were no victims as a result of the incident.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Central Administrative District of Kursk began an inspection after the incident.

Alexander Khinshtein, the deputy governor of the Kursk region, said that the security of all schools in Kursk would be checked in connection with the incident.
