In Nizhny Novgorod, a dog that had been sitting in a pipe for more than a week was rescued

In Nizhny Novgorod was rescued a dog, which was stuck in a pipe. This was reported by the mayor of the city Yuri Shalabaev on Friday, January 10.

For several days rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, employees of the State Emergency Situations Department and volunteers tried to get the dog, which, presumably, frightened of fireworks, climbed into the pipe and got stuck.

The report about the stuck animal came from local residents.

"By common efforts the poor dog was taken out of the trap. Thanks to everyone who did not pass by!" - wrote the mayor in his Telegram-channel.

As added in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, when rescuing the dog that sat in ambush for more than a week, the rescuers closed all the holes in the pipe, so that the disaster would not happen.

Earlier, on September 17, 2024, in Moscow, employees of the public search and rescue squad "SpetsRezerv" rescued a kitten that had fallen through a narrow drainpipe. It was specified that the baby was immediately taken to his home by eyewitnesses of the incident. They waited for a long time while it was pulled out, and during this time they managed to get close to it.
