- Part of the ceiling at the "Tekstilshchiki" station in the Moscow subway fell because of a passenger's belongings
At the Moscow subway station "Tekstilshchiki" of the Great Ring Line (BCL) a finishing part of the ceiling fell down because of a long stick carried by a passenger. According to the press service of the capital subway on January 10, the problem was promptly eliminated, no one was hurt. The incident occurred the day before, on Thursday, January 9.
"One of the passengers damaged the finishing element of the ceiling above the escalator. The offender was carrying a large-sized cargo. In length it exceeded the dimensions allowed for transportation, established by the rules of use," - stated in the message.
Metro staff promptly removed the decorative element from the moving tape. The station is operating in normal mode. The subway reminded that when carrying bulky luggage must strictly follow the established rules.
Thus, it is forbidden to carry bulky luggage, the sum of measurements of which (except in some cases) in length, width and height exceeds 150 cm, as well as long items, the length of which is more than 220 cm, recalled on the website of the Moscow Metro.
Earlier, on January 9, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk reported that the police detained two underage teenagers who threatened a 16-year-old Muscovite in the Moscow subway with a gun. A criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed with the use of objects used as weapons, by a group of persons by prior agreement").
