Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev said on Friday, January 10, that during the New Year holidays the system "REO Radar" recorded half as many complaints about untimely garbage removal as last year.

He said that to ensure timely garbage removal during the holiday period, the Russian Energy Operator created a working group for monitoring and prompt response.

"This format has shown high efficiency. Thanks to well-coordinated work, all complaints received were worked out, and we have a clear confirmation that container sites are kept clean," Patrushev's words are quoted in the Telegram-channel of the Russian government.

It is specified that information about problems with garbage disposal was collected through the system "REO Radar", mass media and social networks. There were no serious failures. More than half of the appeals were processed faster than in a day, and complex problems were solved within a maximum of two days, especially in regions with difficult weather conditions. All decisions were confirmed with photos.

From December 30, 2024 to January 8, 2025, the number of complaints about untimely garbage disposal across Russia has more than halved compared to the same period last year, amounting to 211 cases.

Earlier, on December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that within the framework of the national project "Ecology" in 60 regions 242 objects of accumulated harm to the environment, including 157 large landfills have been eliminated. The territory of these objects was reclaimed, which made life more comfortable and safer for more than 20 million people, the head of state added.
