In Tyumen, customs officers seized more than 56 kg of Dubai chocolate worth Br940 thousand from two passengers of a flight from the UAE. This was reported in the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) on January 10.

"Two cases on administrative offenses under part 1 of article 16.2 of the CAO RF ("Non-declaration of goods") have been initiated," - noted in the message.

The violators turned out to be residents of Tyumen, who tried to spend two batches of chocolate bars of 72 and 184 pieces.

It is noted that the men did not know about the need to declare these products. They explained that they bought chocolate for retail sale in the city and did not intend to submit declarations for the goods.

The court imposed a penalty in the form of confiscation of 72 bars of chocolate.

Earlier, on December 17, 2024, in Vladivostok, the FCS stopped an attempt to export 12 paws of a Himalayan bear to the DPRK. It is specified that a DPRK citizen passed through the "green corridor", but during the inspection of his luggage, inspectors found a box wrapped in black film, inside which there were thermopacks with frozen paws of the predator.
