Prosecutors should facilitate the speedy resolution of all issues related to assistance to the participants of the special military operation (SMO) and their families. This was announced by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov on January 10 at a solemn event on the eve of the 303rd anniversary of the founding of the Russian Prosecutor's Office.

"Our main goal here is to promptly resolve any issues related to support measures for our fighters who are on the front lines defending our Motherland with weapons in their hands," he said.

Krasnov noted that the prosecutor's office should control "issues of product quality, terms of implementation of state contracts, primarily the production of the latest and especially demanded samples of weapons, military and special equipment."

In addition, he emphasized that in 2024, prosecutors paid special attention to the issues of support for the soldiers of the NWO and their families.

Before that, on January 5, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Fomin fulfilled the dreams of Vasilisa and Dmitry Kurevlevykh - children of a participant of a special military operation (SVO) - as part of the New Year's charity event "Christmas tree of wishes".

Earlier, on December 19, 2024, during the "Results of the Year", Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the state fund "Defenders of the Fatherland", which provides assistance to veterans of the SVO and family members of fallen fighters, has become a separate instrument to support the military.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
