The most popular crossovers and SUVs among Russians have been named
The best-selling car in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia at the end of 2024 became Haval Jolion, sales of the model increased 1.5 times and amounted to 83.8 thousand units. This was reported by the analytical agency "Autostat" on January 10.
On the second place of the rating is a crossover Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, which in 2024 sold 64.8 thousand copies (+57.9%). In third place is another Chery crossover - compact Tiggo 4 Pro with the result of 52.7 thousand units (+60%).
The most popular SUV was Lada Niva Travel, which last year amounted to 50.2 thousand sold cars (+7%). Geely Monjaro parketnik with 47.9 thousand copies (2.3 times growth) closes the top five.
The top ten most popular SUV models were completed by the classic SUV Lada Niva Legend (46.8 thousand units; +20%), as well as crossovers Omoda C5 (38.4 thousand units; +7.1%), Haval M6 (38 thousand units; fourfold growth), Changan CS55 Plus (31.6 thousand units; threefold growth) and Belgee X50 (30.6 thousand units; 26.2-fold growth).
Earlier in the day, it was reported that at the end of 2024, car sales in Russia were the best in the last five years. Last year, 1.57 million new cars were sold in the country. Before that, slightly more cars were realized in 2019 - 1.59 million units. Sales in 2024 were 48.4% higher than in 2023. Lada accounted for 28% of total sales.
