The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to label automotive electronics

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed that automotive radio electronic components be included in the electronics labeling experiment from February 28, 2025. The corresponding draft decree is published on the Federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

"The draft decree proposes to expand the nomenclature of goods specified in the list of certain types of radioelectronic products subject to labeling by means of identification within the framework of the experiment, supplementing it with automotive components related to radioelectronic products for motor vehicles, including radioelectronic products related to electronic control systems," the explanatory note says.

In particular, the list of certain types of radioelectronic products is proposed to be supplemented with revolutions counters, taximeters, meters of distance traveled in miles, speedometers and tachometers, the text of the draft decree says.

Also from May 31, 2025 the experiment is proposed to extend to electronic nicotine delivery systems and tobacco heating devices. In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to extend the terms of the experiment on labeling of radio electronics until May 31, 2026 (now it is valid until August 31, 2025).

The experiment on labeling of radioelectronic products began in Russia on December 1, 2023. At the first stage, the list included lighting products and their components, for example, sockets, light-sensitive conductors, lamps and lanterns.

January 10, it was reported that at the end of 2024 the state information system "ERA-GLONASS" transferred to emergency services 92.8 thousand calls in traffic accidents, the figure for the year increased by more than 10%. In total, the state information system has transmitted 434 thousand calls in road accidents during its work.
