Eyewitnesses of a large fire in an industrial zone in Gatchina, Leningrad Region, shared details of the incident in a conversation with Izvestia on January 10.

"Around 6:00 it all started. There were claps, loud rattling, my wife immediately woke up, the children got up," said Vadim.

The man specified that his house was vibrating despite the fact that it is located 500 meters away from the fire. In addition, Vadim added that his acquaintance worked at the enterprise where the fire occurred.

The second eyewitness said that in the area where the fire occurred, there are several enterprises, including a paint factory.

"There seems to be some kind of paint and varnish production there, and a small production facility for spilling acetone, solvents," the woman explained.

According to her, the fire looked unusual, and a cloud was rising from the scene, which "produced a fireball."

Thefire in an industrial zone in Gatchina occurred earlier in the day. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the fire started in a two-story brick building. There was no information about casualties. The area of the fire amounted to 1900 square meters. The fire was extinguished by more than 50 rescuers and 12 units of equipment. On the fact of the fire began verification.

Later the government of the Leningrad region reported that the fire at the acetone production in Gatchina was localized on the area of 1200 square meters. m.
