Sberbank has identified ten credit financial pyramids, which affected 2.3 thousand people. This was reported on January 10 by Deputy Chairman of the Bank's Management Board Stanislav Kuznetsov.

He noted that earlier fraudsters promised people unreasonably high income in order to get money. Now they offer the victim to formalize a loan for some kind of reward.

"Right now we are working through ten such pyramids. We already have data on 2,300 victims of such fraud," RIA Novosti news agency quoted the bank's deputy chairman as saying.

Kuznetsov said that the bulk of the funds received is transferred to fraudsters. In this case, the borrower is left a small amount and promises to send money to repay the loan every month.

"This happens for several months, so that the victim does not get suspicious and does not sound the alarm too early. Having repeated the deception many times, the fraudsters disappear with the money," explained the deputy chairman of Sberbank.

He emphasized that the bank has protected 1.6 billion rubles of its customers from such fraudsters.

Earlier, on December 11 last year, Nikita Bliss, head of information security at Compare, told Izvestia about what to do in case of missing funds from a bank account. According to him, if the amount on the account has decreased, you can use the bank's mobile application, order an account statement or contact the support service.
