Two women killed in AFU attack on Kamenka-Dneprovska in Zaporizhzhya region
Two women were killed as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Kamenka-Dniprovska. This was reported by the Governor of Zaporizhzhya region Yevgeniy Balitsky on January 9.
"During the artillery shelling, two female residents (born in 1940 and 1965) received wounds incompatible with life," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
Balitsky also noted that a house was damaged in the shelling.
The governor expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims. In addition, he said that they will be provided with assistance.
A day earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the port of Berdyansk with a guided missile. The strike did not affect the port's operability, it hit an empty oil product storage tank. The governor of Zaporizhzhya region Yevhen Balitsky said that there were no casualties.
Before that, on January 5, the AFU attacked a hospital and infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhya region. Later, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down over an electrical substation in the same area. No one was injured as a result of the strikes.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
