Muscovites were recommended to use public transport in the morning of January 10 because of the weather

Due to worsening weather conditions in Moscow in the morning on January 10, citizens are recommended to move around the capital by public transport. This was reported by the press service of the Department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure on Thursday, January 9, with reference to the Traffic Management Center (TMC).

"TSODD: at night forecasters predict wet snow - be careful behind the wheel. According to forecasters, wet snow and rain are expected in some parts of the city until tomorrow morning. The formation of ice is possible. We recommend to use public transport for travel tomorrow morning", - quotes the message of the agency of city news "Moscow".

Drivers were asked to observe the distance and speed limits, not to be distracted by the phone while driving, be careful near crosswalks, as well as on bridges and overpasses, writes "Moscow 24".

Earlier in the day, the scientific head of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that a drop in air temperature to negative values is expected in the center of the European part of Russia, reports 360.ru.

January 7, Vilfand warned that in the capital region over the next four days, the air temperature will be kept at 6-7 degrees above normal, and on the streets may form ice, writes Life.Ru.

Before that, January 4, it was reported that in mid-January in Central Russia is expected a powerful Arctic invasion. In the middle and southern latitudes of the European part of Russia, the temperature anomaly may exceed -2 degrees. In addition, in the north of the Far East, January is expected to be colder, a negative temperature anomaly of -1... -3 degrees. However, it was specified that February will start with warm weather.
