Ex-head of Moscow Culture Department Kibovsky's arrest extended
Zamoskvoretskyi district court of Moscow has extended the period of detention of Alexander Kibovsky, former minister of the capital's government and ex-head of the local Department of Culture. This was reported on January 9 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city.
"The decision of the Zamoskvoretsky district court of the city of Moscow satisfied the petition of the investigator to extend the period of detention in respect of Kibovsky Alexander Vladimirovich for a period of two months and seven days", - stated in the Telegram-channel.
It is specified that the man will be in custody until March.
Kibovsky is accused of illegally obtaining money for participation in tenders at inflated costs after creating conditions for this by controlled firms. Receipt of funds could have taken place with other persons.
Alexander Kibovsky was detained on July 17 last year on charges of eight episodes of bribery (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code) and one episode of attempted fraud (part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation specified that the total amount of bribes could exceed 100 million rubles.
