Missing Russian woman detained in Istanbul because of aggression towards consulate general security guards

The Russian Consulate General informed Izvestia on Thursday, January 9, that the Russian woman Laura Pisarenko, who disappeared in Istanbul on December 30 last year, was detained by the police after aggression towards the guards of the diplomatic mission.

It is specified that the girl came to the consulate to obtain a certificate of return to Russia, but before the reception showed aggression to the guards and police, because of which she was detained. At the same time, the current location of the woman is unknown to the Consulate General.

"The Consulate General is aware of the situation with the Russian citizen. The consular office is in contact with her relatives and loved ones", - stated in the message.

Information about the disappearance of a 23-year-old Russian woman in Istanbul before the New Year appeared earlier in a number of Telegram channels. It was reported that the tourist came from Nalchik to celebrate her birthday, but lost her documents. Later she stopped contacting. It was noted that she was last seen near the Russian consulate in Istanbul.

Also in the media circulated information that the Russian woman was allegedly found.

Earlier, on August 17, 2024, it was reported that a 48-year-old Russian woman disappeared in Marmaris, Turkey. Representatives of the hotel, the Russian consulate, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, volunteers and relatives took part in the search for the woman. Her body was found on August 31 on the Kari Trail in Marmaris.
