Two people killed and six injured in AFU attack on Kherson region
Two people have been killed and six others injured during shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the settlements of Abrikosivka and Podo-Kalinivka in Kherson Region. This was reported by Governor Vladimir Saldo on January 9.
"As a result, as of this minute two people were killed, six people were injured. The victims were sent to hospitals, they are provided with all necessary medical care," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
In addition, the Ukrainian army struck the villages of Velykye Kopani and Novaya Mayachka, Saldo added. There are no casualties as a result of this incident.
On the same day, two civilians were injured as a result of the AFU shelling of the village of Podo-Kalinovka in the Kherson region. The injured were taken to a medical assistant and midwife station for medical care.
Saldo urged residents to observe precautions and stay in safe places.
The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
