More than 2 thousand cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) were registered in the Murmansk region last week. This is reported by IA "Beeport" with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.
According to laboratory tests, viruses of non-influenza etiology circulate in the region. In addition, 36 cases of coronavirus infection were detected. The morbidity rate amounted to 5.5 cases per 100 thousand population, which is 84.6% lower than the previous week.
Children account for 36% of all cases of acute respiratory viral infections. Children aged 3-6 years old, as well as schoolchildren are mostly ill.
At the beginning of the year Rospotrebnadzor urged Russians to be more attentive to their health in connection with the increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections. The share of influenza viruses in the structure of pathogens is increasing.
