The number of carsharing cars in Moscow reached a record high
At the end of 2024, the carsharing fleet in Moscow will reach a record high of 40 thousand cars. This was stated by Maxim Liksutov, deputy mayor of the capital on transport issues, reports deptrans in its Telegram-channel on January 9. It is noted that it was planned to come to such an indicator according to the strategy of development of the transport complex of Moscow only in 2030.
Compared to 2023, the number of carsharing cars in Moscow increased by 18%. The average age of a rental car is 1.5 years. One car makes five or six trips per day.
The number of active carsharing users in Moscow increased by 13% over the year, to 1.7 million. And since 2015, this figure has increased 57 times. The number of trips for the year increased by 4% (up to 53 million), as well as the average daily number of trips (up to 146 thousand). In total, users have made 324 million trips in nine years.
Since 2018, carsharing operators have been receiving subsidies. Last year, the allocated 225 million rubles allowed to compensate them for part of the costs of buying 11 thousand cars, also indicated in the deptrans.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation clarified whether a driver can drink alcohol after an accident. The Supreme Court considered the complaint of a driver from Karelia, who was deprived of his license for 1.5 years with a fine of 30 thousand rubles. It was established that he damaged the car by driving off into a ditch, after which he consumed alcohol.
