Three young men in Ulan-Ude were accused of hooliganism and intentional infliction of serious harm to health. This was reported on January 9 in the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Buryatia.
They noted that the investigative department of the Oktyabrsky district of the city initiated criminal proceedings against three young people aged 17-18 years old under paragraph "a" of part 3 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health, committed by a group of persons") and part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism, committed by a group of persons").
According to the investigation, on the night of January 1, the young men drank alcohol and then went to a computer club. On the way they beat up a man. The victim was diagnosed with leg fractures in two places, such injuries are life-threatening.
Dmitry Stolyarov, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Buryatia, said that after that the young men came into conflict with a minor visitor of the computer club.
"One of the accused began to strike the teenager, and his buddy at this time demonstrated a knife to others, preventing the possibility to intervene in the fight and provide assistance to the victim," he specified.
The criminals were detained, the investigation demanded to elect a measure of restraint in the form of imprisonment for the two "most active defendants", reported on the website of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Buryatia.
They added that the court chose a measure of restraint for them in the form of house arrest, while the third young man - in the form of a signature on non-departure and proper behavior.
Earlier, on January 6, the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow reported that two teenagers beat up an employee of the order delivery point in the north-east of the capital and stole a phone. Law enforcement agencies detained 17-year-old attackers. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery").
