State Duma says plans to protect children from destructive content in video games

The State Duma may decide to protect minors from destructive content. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin in Telegram-channel on January 9.

"In January we plan to make a decision on the protection of citizens, primarily children, from destructive content. Do you support it?" - he wrote, addressing readers.

Volodin added that the State Duma receives appeals that in many modern video games there is a plot that contains aggression, violence and "propaganda of alien values."

Earlier, December 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the State Duma deputies should analyze the content of games and together with the government to decide how to deal with them. The president said that everything should be done to protect children from the destructive influence of games and other content.
