A gas pipeline and a private house have been damaged as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Krasnodar Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Veniamin Kondratiev on January 9.

"As a result of the fall of UAV debris in the village of Petrovskaya in the Slavyansk district in a private house, the supply gas pipeline, roofing and windows were damaged," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The Governor noted that no one was injured, and special services are working at the scene.

Kondratiev instructed the head of the municipality Roman Sinyagovsky to help local residents restore the damaged property.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces intercepted nine Ukrainian drones overnight over the territory of the Krasnodar region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
