Eight settlements were left without electricity due to bad weather in the Sakhalin Region. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Energy on January 9.
"At present, 94 transformer substations with a load of 5.7 MW are disconnected, affecting 4.1 thousand people. To restore power supply 18 brigades (47 people) and 20 units of equipment are working," - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the department.
It is specified that the settlements of Pozhdayevo, Yasnomorskoye, Zavety Ilyicha, Sokolniki, Lovetsk, Seleznevo, Zarechye and Lopatino are completely de-energized. At the same time, power supply has been restored in the villages of Pyatirechye, Chistovodnoye and Okhotskoye, while partial blackouts are taking place in Nevelsk, Uglegorsk and Tymovskoye.
The Sakhalin Oblast Energy Ministry noted that there is no fuel on sale at the NNK gas station in Tymovsky municipality.
"The roads are blocked, the gasoline truck in Nogliki is ready to leave. With the Ministry of Transport is in touch, as soon as possible, will be given permission to move," - commented in the agency.
