On January 8, Spartak Moscow defeated SKA St. Petersburg in an away game of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season. The meeting ended with a resounding score of 5:0.

The Red-Whites' forwards German Rubtsov (20th minute), Ivan Morozov (30th) and Nikolay Goldobin (34th) scored one goal each. Forward Ansel Galimov, in turn, completed a double (25th, 33rd minutes).

This was the first game in which goalie Artem Zagidulin, who was traded from Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik on December 26, 2024, took part. He accounted for 39 deflected shots. The Muscovites defeated the club from St. Petersburg for the first time since November 2023, writes Sport-Express.

At the moment, Spartak is second in the Western Conference standings with 57 points. SKA with 54 points - on the sixth line.

On the eve of the capital "Dynamo" defeated "Sochi" in a match of the KHL. The meeting ended with a score of 2:0. Canadian forward Dylan Sikyura and forward Dmitry Rashevsky scored pucks into the opponents' goal.
