In St. Petersburg, two children put out the Eternal Flame with snow

Two children from St. Petersburg extinguished the Eternal Flame in Krasnoye Selo by throwing snow on it. This was reported on January 8 in the Telegram-channel of the city prosecutor's office.

The incident occurred in the evening on Tuesday, January 7. On this fact the check is organized, the course and results of which are under control of the Prosecutor's office of Krasnoselsky district of the city.

In addition, the Prosecutor's office will assess compliance with the requirements for the prevention of neglect and delinquency of minors.

Earlier, on December 30, 2024, a source in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Kengiseppsky district of the Leningrad region reported to "Izvestia" that in the city two teenagers put out with snow the gas burner of the Eternal flame on the memorial "Grove of Five Hundred". The incident occurred on December 28, the gas service restored the burning of the fire in the evening of the same day.
