Last year, passengers of buses and electric buses made over one billion trips in Moscow. This was reported by Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

According to him, passengers in the capital are served by 850 routes of modern buses and electric buses. The route network has become wider with the launch of new trunk and express routes, as well as the introduction of new stops.

As Liksutov emphasized, comfortable ground transportation has become "an integral part of life in a modern metropolis". "Today more than 2250 electric buses and over 6000 modern buses are running along the streets of the city. Every year more and more residents of the capital choose public transportation for their daily trips," he said.

Six years ago in Moscow began the implementation of the program to replace buses with innovative electric buses of domestic production. In 2024 electric buses went out on more than 70 routes. In addition, during the year 110 new transportation stops were opened near polyclinics, schools, train stations and metro stations.

Ground public transportation in Moscow is equipped with devices for a more comfortable ride for passengers. In particular, in the cabin you can charge your phone using USB and Type-C connectors, and the media screens broadcast up-to-date information about the route and possible connections. Convenient entry and exit at stops is achieved due to the low floor level. A folding ramp and driver call buttons are provided for passengers with reduced mobility.
