A criminal case has been opened over the death of two people in a fire in an apartment in a house in Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg. This was reported on January 7 by the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICS RF) in the city.

"The investigative Department for the Frunzensky district of the main investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg initiated a criminal case on the signs of a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

Thefire in an apartment in St. Petersburg occurred on the same day. In addition to the two dead, three people were also injured during the incident. The fire was extinguished an hour after it started.
