Six people injured as a result of AFU shelling of Horlivka
Six civilians were injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko in his Telegram channel on January 7.
According to him, a civilian was wounded as a result of the strike in the Komsomolets residential area. According to the specified information, the victim is a girl born in 2016.
Later it became known about five more wounded residents of the city of Dzerzhinsk.
On January 7, the AFU shelled populated areas in the Gorlovka direction of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) nine times during the day, houses and cars were damaged. It was specified that as a result of the attacks three residential buildings, two cars and a civilian infrastructure object were damaged.
Earlier, on January 5, a teenager was injured when the AFU dropped an explosive object on Gorlovka. In addition, it is noted that as a result of Ukrainian shelling, the village of Lenin mine was de-energized, an apartment building on Lenin Avenue was damaged, and a fire broke out in an apartment building on Bolotnikova Street.
Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
