Bard singer Vadim Mishchuk died at the 69th year of his life
Vadim Mishchuk, the author of compositions "Riga Station" and "Zastolie", bard-singer Vadim Mishchuk died in Moscow at the age of 68. About it on January 6 reports the portal of the Grushinsky festival.
"Very bitter news. Today our friend Vadim Mischuk has passed away. We were waiting for Vadim at the Grushinsky Winter Festival, but fate ordered otherwise. We will always remember him. And sing songs with his genius music", - says the website of the festival.
Details of the bard's death are not reported.
Vadim Mischuk was born July 5, 1956 in Riga. Since the late 1970s, he performed in the Domino VIA together with his brother Valery. They regularly participated in the Grushinsky festival of author's song. In 1989, the brothers moved to Moscow, where they began to perform as a duo. Their popular compositions "Steamboat Sails Away", "Riga Station" and "Table" became classics of the genre. A distinctive feature of Mishchuk's performance was the use of six-string guitars.
Valery Mischuk died on August 14, 2022 at the 72nd year of life after a long struggle with cancer. Vadim continued his creative activity solo. He took part in the "Songs of Our Century" project, later becoming its director.
