The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled populated areas in the Gorlovka direction of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) nine times over the day; houses and cars were damaged. This was reported in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukrainian War Crimes (JCCC) on January 7.
"A total of 23 units of various ammunition were fired," informed the press service of the center in the Telegram-channel of the agency.
It is specified that as a result of attacks were damaged three residential buildings, two cars and a civilian infrastructure object. There was no information about civilian casualties.
Earlier, on January 5, a teenager was injured when the AFU dropped an explosive object on Horlivka. In addition, it is noted that as a result of Ukrainian shelling, the village of Lenin mine was de-energized, an apartment building on Lenin Avenue was damaged, and a fire broke out in an apartment building on Bolotnikova Street.
Earlier, on January 4, four civilians were injured when explosive objects were dropped from Ukrainian drones in two settlements of Horlivka.
On that day, Gorlovka mayor Ivan Prikhodko reported the shelling of the Komsomolets residential area by Ukrainian armed formations (VFU), which resulted in the injury of 10 civilians. He also specified that "bell-type" submunitions were found at the site of the shelling.
As local residents told Izvestia, the cassettes fell under the store, people were wounded, there was a lot of blood. The victims were wounded of varying degrees of severity.
